Assessments
Currently, there are no daily homework assignments in music class. However, assessments are taken often in class (about once per week). Assessments are taken on:
1. Reading Music
2. Writing Music
3. Improvising Music
4. Singing In-Tune
5. Performing Music on Instruments
6. Identifying Form in Music
7. Performing Music in Multiple Parts
8. Identifying the Elements of Music
Assessments are child-centered and are aligned to the Troy School District 30c Music Curriculum. Some assessments are taken from written music worksheets, some are taken as students are performing in class, and others are taken as students are working with manipulatives.
